Eugy Han to Join UFCJC as a MPMT Assistant Professor in August 2025

Eugy Han will join the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Media Production, Management, and Technology (MPMT) Department as an assistant professor in August 2025.

Han is currently completing her doctoral degree in Communication (Media Psychology) at Stanford University, where she works with Professor Jeremy N. Bailenson at the Virtual Human Interaction Lab.

Her research focuses on understanding social interactions in immersive virtual environments, such as virtual and mixed realities. Specifically, she investigates how contextual factors—physical, virtual, and social—shape these interactions. Her work, which includes 13 peer-reviewed journal articles and four book chapters, has been featured in media outlets including CNN, Stanford News, and VentureBeat.

Han earned her Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science from Brown University.
