UFCJC Student News and Film Productions Nominated for NATAS 2025 Suncoast Chapter Student Production Awards

Student news reports and films produced by University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) students have been nominated in the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) 2025 Suncoast Chapter Student Production Awards.

The awards encourage excellence in video production and spotlight outstanding achievements produced by college, university and high school students.

  • Non-Fiction – Long Form: “Echoes in the Dark” by Victor San Martin-Diaz, Ben Nielsen, Paris Quillen, Yves Phillipe and Alexander Bobadilla. Brandon Shenk, adviser.
  • Fiction – Long Form: “Invidia” by Madison Seay, Amanda Neuber, Katheleen Carnivale, Sofia Ortiz and Josselin Villatoro. Advised by Iman Zawahry and Brandon Shenk.
  • Fiction – Long Form: “Physique” by Anna McFarland, Carolyn Dove, Joey Milberg, Amber Guaglieri, Brandon Terry and Sofia Dominguez. Advised by Iman Zawahry and Brandon Shenk.
  • Fiction – Long Form: “REMinisce” by Lan Koppitch, Juan Fonfria, Lindsey Kushner, Carson McCann and Vendela Axstrand. Advised by Iman Zawahry and Brandon Shenk.
  • Fiction – Long Form: “Grade A Love” by Isabel Morris, Isabelle Coleman, Anna McFarland, Jaden Koller and Connor Matthews. Advised by Iman Zawahry and Brandon Shenk.

The seventh annual Suncoast Student Production Awards will be presented April 26 at the University of Miami School of Communications in Coral Gables, Florida.
