Allicia Bolen received her Bachelor’s in History from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Disabilities in Society at UF. She has worked in higher education at UF since 2013 in various roles and departments including the Office of Admissions, the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the College of Design, Construction and Planning, and Innovation Academy.
Allicia has previously served as a Preview advisor, a mentor through the University Minority Mentor Program, a chairperson for Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, and is a member of the Association for Black Faculty and Staff.
Her most memorable career highlights include being named the 2017 Black Student Union Faculty Rookie of the Year, presenting at NACADA, and organization that supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education, and being a panelist on Iota Alpha’s Women’s Empowerment Innovation Panel. She uses advising as a tool to help students discover their intrinsic abilities and perform beyond their own expectations.
