Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit is looking to distribute scholarship money to black college undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in play-by-play sports broadcasting. A lack of diversity in sports play-by-play is a glaring issue, and we are looking to address this from a grassroots level – with aspiring black broadcasters.

Our Board of Directors will be interviewing applicants beginning in about a month, with three (3) $1,000 scholarships awarded in time for the Spring 2021 semester. Beyond that, every applicant – regardless of whether they are awarded a scholarship- will be assigned a professional broadcaster mentor who will be reaching out to provide guidance as they navigate the early stages of the industry.
