CJC Alum Honored by the UF Association of Hispanic Alumni

Mindy Marqués, B.S. Journalism 1986 and 2012 Hall of Fame inductee, is the 2019 Gran Caiman honoree at the UF Association of Hispanic Alumni’s (UF-AHA) Gator Guayabera Guateque. Marqués is the publisher of The Miami Herald.

The Gator Guayabera Guateque (GGG) was started in 2004 by the UF-AHA and is the organization’s signature event. The annual gathering of hundreds of Gator alumni and friends is designed to celebrate UF’s rich Hispanic culture and raise funds for student scholarships, including the UF-AHA academic endowment.

Marqués will be recognized at the event on May 18 in Miami.
