CJC Alum Elected Florida First Amendment Foundation Board Chair
Trimmel Gomes, B.S. Telecommunication 2005, is the new board chair for the Florida First Amendment Foundation (FAF). FAF is a non-partisan, non-profit organization and advocates for the visible and accessible source of authoritative information, expertise and assistance to the public and news media.
The Foundation advocates for First Amendment rights of freedom of speech and press as enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. It also supports open meetings and access to public records protected by the Florida constitution and statutes.
Gomes is the owner of Gomes Media Strategies in Tallahassee, Florida. Previously, he was the news director of Digital Media Properties for Sachs Media Group and the news director for Florida Public Radio at WFSU.
