I will be teaching Sports Branding and NIL Design & Development.
My area of expertise ranges across multiple areas: sports, public relations, branding, marketing, journalism and social media.
My wife’s name is Brianna, and we have two daughters, Brielle (8) and Emilia (3).
What excites me most about returning to Gainesville (I was a student here from 2010-2014) is the sense of community. To me, there’s nothing like an early Saturday morning in the fall. The air is crisp. There is a buzz around the city. There is just a vibe that circulates, and it represents Gator Nation’s ability to come together, to support one another. I’ve always admired the mantra of “Gators help Gators,” and I’m excited to be a part of a faculty where I can give back and help the next waves of students learn, develop and launch their own careers — knowing their potential is limitless. I want to be a resource for them, as well as for my colleagues and peers. That’s what excites me the most about coming home to Gainesville.
Personally, there is no greater achievement to me than being a father. Everything I do in this life is in service of providing the best life possible for my family.
Professionally, I’ve had so many wonderful experiences throughout my career, and it’s hard to pick one. I’ve had the chance to be a part of an organizational rebrand with the Charlotte Hornets, helping them solidify brand loyalty within their fanbase, and doing my part in contributing to their corporate partnerships team. I’ve worked on logos and branded campaigns for professional and collegiate athletes. I’ve rebranded an entire company from top to bottom. I’ve taken in Notre Dame football games from the sidelines with Tim Brown and Jerome Bettis.
But if I had to pick one, I’d say my greatest professional achievement would have to be the network I’ve built up along the way, across a variety of stops. From the Charlotte Hornets to the Chicago Sky, to the University of Notre Dame, to Oregon State University, to the University of Miami, and more, I’ve met so many great, talented people. And I value those relationships built.
