Veterinary and Social Media Spring Internships @ Humane Society of North Central Florida
It’s that time again! The Humane Society of North Central Florida is thrilled to announce the opening of applications for our Spring 2024 semester Fundraising and Communications Internship and Vet Tech Volunteer Program.
These opportunities provide invaluable experience within the dynamic environment of a successful non-profit animal shelter, offering skills applicable to academia, personal growth, and future career paths. This is a great way for students to fulfill internship requirements or to just give back to the community and get their animal fix while going through school.
Fundraising and Communications Internship: Join our dynamic team as a Fundraising and Communications Intern, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our development team’s efforts to raise funds and enhance communication strategies. As an integral part of our mission-driven organization, you will be involved in various tasks, such as event planning, communications, and managing our social media outreach channels. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the administrative intricacies of operating a successful non-profit animal shelter. You’ll work closely with seasoned professionals, contributing to impactful initiatives that directly benefit our cause. While this is an unpaid internship, the wealth of knowledge and skills you’ll acquire is invaluable. If you’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of animals and eager to develop your skills in fundraising and communications within a non-profit setting, we invite you to join us in this rewarding experience.
Vet Tech Volunteer Program:
Join our Vet Tech Volunteer Program at the Humane Society and become an essential part of our veterinary team during the upcoming spring semester. As a volunteer, you’ll actively contribute to Operation Petsnip, Foster initiatives, and our Wellness Clinic. This hands-on experience allows you to be involved in various aspects of veterinary care, from animal restraint to administering vaccines. Engage in multiple areas to broaden your exposure and make a meaningful impact on the well-being of our furry friends.
Both programs for the Spring semester will run from January 2nd, 2024, to April 4th, 2024 with the understanding that some volunteers may need to start later!
