Associated Press Sports Editors Student Chapter Established at UFCJC
The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) has been accepted as the 13th student chapter of the Associated Press Sports Editors (APSE). UFCJC Journalism Sports Lecturer Ryan Hunt, B.S. Journalism 1997, will serve as faculty adviser.
APSE is an organization consisting of nearly 400 sports editors, journalism educators, writers and students. Their mission is to encourage and recognize quality sports journalism and to develop quality sports journalists. Members receive assistance to adapt to a rapidly changing digital publishing age, while continuing to publish in print and broadcast environments.
UFCJC APSE student chapter members will have access to sports journalism leaders from newspapers and websites, as well as networking, awards, education and regional meetings opportunities.
