JUPITER, Fla. — For U.S. Open hopefuls, the final round of qualifying is known as ‘Golf’s Longest Day.’ Hundreds of amateurs and pros alike battled in 10 36-hole qualifiers across North America attempting to earn a coveted place in the 2024 U.S. Open. At The Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Florida, 71 golfers — including former UF golfer Chris Nido — competed in the final-round qualifier hoping to earn one of five available spots in the Open in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
