I understand the following regarding defenses:

The student and the chair or co-chair must be in the same physical location. Other members may join synchronously via telecommunication. If the student and the chair/co-chair cannot meet in the same physical location, a petition must be submitted to the Graduate Division and is not guaranteed to be approved. This policy is not applicable to Pro Master’s students.
The Graduate Division will schedule a meeting room and a Zoom link. Zoom links created by anyone other than a Grad Division delegate cannot be used for the defense.
Defenses cannot be recorded.
