2024 Election Bootcamp: Telling Stories Beyond The Poll

With the November election approaching, TEGNA is offering outside-the-box ways to present election stories that aren’t stale and boring. You’ll learn the ins-and-outs of Florida law and best practices to supercharge your storytelling on air and online. With 64 journalism brands in 51 markets nationwide, TEGNA is the nation’s largest independent owner of news stations in the Top 25 media markets.

Career Pathway Pop-Up for Communication and Media

 Gators, are you looking for guidance on your career? Join me for an interactive “Ask-Me-Anything” event! Get advice on degree options, career outcomes, resume reviews, and more. It’s a great chance to learn about resources available at the C3 and connect with other students passionate about their career growth. All Gators are welcome!

“Prepare for Careers in Communications Fair” helps students develop strategies to confidently interact with recruiters and present themselves effectively. This event includes sessions with recruiters from top media companies, offering valuable insights and a competitive edge in the Communications job market.

Suit Up: Professional Fashion Show

Alpha PR students have organized this event to show students the appropriate professional attire for the career fair and job interviews.

Score Big on Soft Skills

At this event, students will walk through different stations learning tips and tricks for improving soft skills. Food will be provided.

This is an opportunity for graduating seniors to share their work and portfolio with employers and the CJC community in a reverse career fair setting.
