Fifteen Major League Baseball teams, known as the Cactus League, hold camp within a 25-mile radius of the greater Phoenix area. This semester-long class will feature an immersive experience that mixes on-site live event coverage, in-depth feature storytelling, social media content creation and networking opportunities with UF alumni in the industry.

Eligibility
- CJC Undergraduate and graduate students
- Undergraduate students must be eligibile to take this course an elective (1-3 credits offered). Prerequisites include JOU4313c or RTV3502c (with a grade of C or better) and/or experience covering sports for a professional media outlet.
- Strong knowledge of baseball, including UF alumni playing professionally, is preferred.
Selection Process
- A Sports@CJC team will review applications and select eligible students.
- Approximately 6-9 students will be chosen, with various levels of responsibility and coverage
- Students must be able to travel during UF Spring Break (March 15-22)
