CJC PhD student and METL coordinator, Daniel Pimentel, was awarded a $35,000 grant from the Sea Turtle Conservancy for his proposal: Project S.H.E.L.L. (Simulating Habitat Experiences of Living Loggerheads), an education initiative leveraging a custom virtual reality (VR) simulation to encourage sea turtle conservation.
