Become a Science Journalist in Residence
Candidates are selected by a committee of UF faculty and administrators and invited several months in advance of their appearance. Visiting science journalists receive a stipend and all travel expenses (journalists appearing virtually receive the stipend). Science journalists who would like more information, or wish to be considered as an SJR, may contact CJC Environmental Journalist in Residence Cynthia Barnett or STEM Translational Communication Center Director Benjamin Johnson, SJR Committee Chair.
