Cloe will support College-wide international efforts and help build connections that drive innovative scholarship.
Cloe holds both a master’s and a doctoral degree in Linguistics from UF, where her dissertation, “Implicit and Explicit Learning: Implications for Short-Term L2 Language Learning and Cognitive Performance,” investigated the effects of various teaching methodologies on language learning and cognitive performance. Her research has garnered several prestigious grants, including a Duolingo Research Grant in Language Learning with Technology and a National Science Foundation Grant for international research collaborations.
During her graduate studies, she was a course instructor for the CLAS Linguistic Department. She taught on various teaching methods in L2 (second language) learning and cognitive performance. Her international experience also includes teaching English to second-language learners abroad prior to her time at UF.
