STEM Center Research Associate Conducts Webinar on Using Social Media for Clinical Study Recruitment
Elizabeth Flood-Grady, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications STEM Translational Communication Center Postdoctoral Research Associate, conducted a webinar on best practices in using social media to recruit participants for clinical research studies.
The webinar included three parts: engaging key university stakeholders to develop institutional guidelines for teams interested in using social media for recruitment; an overview of the Recruitment Center CTSA-managed Facebook page and how similar channels can be created; and the process for developing, evaluating and tracking study-specific Facebook advertisements including results and lessons learned.
