Alexandra Horowitz, Science Journalist in Residence
Alexandra Horowitz is the author of the New York Times best-selling book Inside of a Dog: What Dogs See, Smell, and Know and the follow-up, Being a Dog: Following the Dog into a World of Smell. She also has written about the value of paying attention to ordinary details (On Looking). Horowitz teaches seminars in canine cognition and creative nonfiction writing at Barnard College, Columbia University, and heads the Horowitz Dog Cognition Lab. She spoke at the college on January 18, 2017.
